A great place for fun things for children to do at major holidays:trick or treating, breakfast with Santa, etc. A lot of history and historic stuff.

This is a good museum if you know what to expect. I had the idea that this would be a village with dozens of buildings to see. This place has only 12 structures and of those, a few have little or no description. They had, for example, a blacksmith shop with no descriptions and no one inside to explain or demonstrate.

On the other hand the museum has a nice indoor museum with great displays of radio, the prohibition and a wonderful Erie Canal room that's great for kids.

It was alot bigger and informative than I expected. My husband and I loved the outdoor buildings and many indoor displays.

I wish I had known about this before. Went to Scottish festival here, and it was very cool.

Love this place!! A walk back in time. The Trick or Treat event was fantastic.
